Can you believe it has been 10 years!

Under the ownership of Kristie Tsakiris, Goodyear Autocare Merimbula is now 10 and we are celebrating.

The Celebration!
When:    31st October 2024 12pm - 2pm
Where:  Goodyear Autocare Merimbula
What is Happening?
We will be offering FREE* Pizza from Sapphire Coast Catering from 12pm - 2pm.
There will be 10 prizes drawn at 2pm, so if you have ever been our customer in the last 10 years you are automatically in the draw.
If you are also our customer old or new, during the month of October 2024 you will get an extra chance in the prize draw.
Prizes will range from our suppliers and Goodyear Autocare Vouchers - plenty of value to win!

Our Business Update:
 We have asked Mallory Wilson to join our team as the new Business Manager! She has grown up in the area, so locals will know her well. Mallory then went off to QLD and worked for ISUZU for close to 7 years. Her and her husband, Rohan, are back and raring to go. The team are so happy she has come on board.

One of our Service Coordinators, affectionally known as 'Aunty Gai' is now officially retiring! She has been such an important member of our business for the last 10 years. We have decided to celebrate her also on this day for her loyalty, dedication and hard work. Thank you Aunty Gai!

Kristie is also taking a step back from the front lines after 10 years, Mallory is the right person to now take the business to the next level. Kristie has some family commitments to attend to and some rest time owing and has chosen this time to make it happen. She will be floating in from time to time and looks forward to being out and about more enjoying a cocktail or two, with Timbo!

Thankyou's
The team is growing, and is always evolving. This is also a great time to thank ALL of the staff past and present that have been on this journey. It has not always been an easy one, in fact, never an easy one. But rewarding and many achievements have been made. Every staff member has been appreciated no matter the circumstances, we would not be here without them.
Also thank you to our loyal customer base, who we see year on year and have followed our journey. Your interest in how we were during fires, during covid and just life in general has been very appreciated!

Due to our Tyre Fitter progressing to an Automotive Apprenticeship, we now have an opening for a new Tyre Fitting Trainee/Workshop Assistant.

On the Job Training, with the assistance of the MTA will give you an industry recognised qualification of  Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Remove, Inspect, Repair & Refit Tyres/Tubes
  • Balancing & Tyre Rotation
  • Stock Control
  • Tyre Repairs and Tube Fitments 
  • Delivery of Stock Coordination
  • Tyre Orders
  • Workshop Cleanliness and Organisation
  • Car Wash
  • Use and Maintain Tools & Equipment
  • Completing Paperwork as Required
  • Working Safely in a Workshop Environment

New tyres released to the market, new equipment purchased and on the way..... fun times ahead for Goodyear Autocare Merimbula oh and that NSW Nomination for Franchise of the year 2023!

Catherine wrote to us to tell her more of her story, here it is:

"My partner and I recently lost our entire property and belongings in the Border Fire. I would like to thank Andrew, and Kristie, and the team Merimbula Goodyear and Cherrie who kindly made it possible for me to receive 4 new tires, long over due. Life has been a roller coaster of a ride lately and my car is one of the only possessions I have left after the destruction caused by the recent fire storm.

I would like to share some before and after photos of our property, although these images are confronting and personal, this grim reality is the same for many members of our rural community south of Eden and throughout Australia. This is why I feel it is important to share the shear impact this natural disaster has had with the wider community.

Your donation will allow me to continue to visit my property and begin starting the massive clean-up ahead."

BUSH FIRE & FLOOD CRISIS - Far South Coast NSW

You may have heard recently, or have experienced the flow on effects of the Bush Fire Crisis on
the Far South Coast of NSW as well as the entire country. We are in unprecedented times. Floods have also started to cause so much damage also.

Merimbula has been hit hard financially as a business community and also our community members are doing it tough. As a business we do all we can to pass on affordable prices on items and services that are still necessary such as Tyres, Roadworthy Certificates, Vehicle Repairs and Vehicle Servicing.

You can help our customers by paying forward, all amounts count and believe me, they have already come in handy in our community. There are a number of great ways to do this and we have joined up to all of the brilliant campaigns that have popped up to help, these are shown below.
